June Field Tour - P52, Davis, and Ten Cent Projects

Join the Northern Blues Forest Collaborative for an on-site tour of the P52, Davis, and Ten Cent Projects Areas on the Umatilla and Wallowa-Whitman National Forests, recently impacted by the 2024 Double Snag Fire near Ukiah. This is a unique opportunity to observe and evaluate how prior prescribed fire treatments may have influenced wildfire behavior and severity.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Examine burn patterns across treated and untreated areas

  • Assess ecological outcomes post-Double Snag Fire

  • Learn how prescribed fire may have contributed to fire resilience

  • Discuss implications for future land management and fire planning

Expect to connect with land managers, fire scientists, and partners to discuss field-based observation, insights on fuels treatment and fire behavior, and cross-boundary restoration projects.

Please RSVP by emailing nbfc@wallowaresources.org

*Please bring water, lunch, and appropriate clothes and footwear; the tour will include a fair amount of walking on uneven surfaces in wet environments.
